Hamster Kombat Announces Airdrop Snapshot Before HMSTR Token Launch on TON

Hamster Kombat, the leading tap-to-earn crypto game on Telegram, has revealed that it will take a snapshot of players’ achievements to determine airdrop allocations for its upcoming HMSTR token. The snapshot is set for September 20, ahead of the token launch next week.

According to an in-game notification, “Season 1 ends on September 20,” and players’ progress will be converted into HMSTR tokens. The team encourages players to “hurry up to level up” before the cutoff. They have also shared the criteria for determining token allocations based on in-game achievements.

In a recent community post on Telegram, the Hamster Kombat team confirmed that the snapshot will occur at 6 PM UTC on September 20. They emphasized that this marks the end of Season 1 but also the beginning of exciting developments to come.

Hamster Kombat will launch its HMSTR token on The Open Network (TON) on September 26, accompanied by an airdrop for players. With claims of over 300 million total players and 94 million active players in the past month, Hamster Kombat is currently the most popular game on Telegram.

However, the token launch raises concerns for TON, as the network experienced downtime in late August due to a token claim for a smaller project. The size of the Hamster Kombat airdrop could potentially lead to similar issues.

TON Core developers recently warned that the launch of both the HMSTR token and Catizen’s CATI token on September 20 might create “technical pressures and possibly unforeseen issues” amidst these high-profile drops.
